Thursday 11/24
A long, long day online.
Well I was feeling Laggish today and started out playing as such. None of the tables were playing that good so I put myself in charge of loosening up the table. Things started out pretty bad. I was getting hellified action but just couldn’t take any pots down. I was losing what I should have been losing and also was losing the coinflips such as: KK vs. K9 on a King high flop and K10 vs. K9 on a K10X flop, standard stuff.
The pattern would be similiar throughout the day. I would take a beating, fight my way back to evenish and then get coolered back down. Well last session ended with me losing with AA. Well, I’ve been running really good lately with AA and knew an eventual beating was coming and it was today. The first time I flopped and Ace and still had to muck before the showdown. I think the board was AQ98X and I was caught in between two people both with J10. I ended up losing the next two times with AA also making it four in a row including AA against JJ when a Jack spiked the river.
When I started with the worse hand and got there, redraw seem to always come through for the other guy. One had I had J10 of diamonds on a 785 flop (78 of diamonds). The pot was 3 way and I was pumping up my draws pretty heavy. Well the nine came on the turn and there was heavy action. One guy had 88 and the other guy had J10 also, but i had the redraw. Well another 7 ended up hitting and the other J10 was making cost more than it should of. I also had two seperate hands where I had A3 and A5 were I flopped two pair where my second pair got counterfeited on some pretty big pots and countless AQ vs 33 on Q35 type of flops.
Well, despite all the beatings, I kept fighting my way back against the weaker competition. A few of the people I was up against didn’t really know how to adjust to my play. I was mostly hanging around $250 down for a long time. At one point I lost $400 just at one table and really had to make up the slack @ the other 3 tables I was playing. My last night session I started 250 down and then quickly lost a pot to make it an even $300. Well then I made a triumphful comeback. I was only down around $40 and was extremely happy about it and decided to play out my remaining free hands and call it a night. One of my last hands I got AA again and was hoping to end my losing streak with it. Well the board wasn’t too scary but a guy 4 bet me on the turn. I thought for sure I was doomed again versus a set. Well turned out I did have the best hand and ended the night a “winner”, albeit slightly.
All in all, I write today off to evening out my stats. I have been running really, really well online lately and today helped bring my BB/hr back down to earth.
