Leaving Las Vegas
Well, the time has come. I would have never imagined 3 years ago that I would one day end up back in Kentucky but things change as you get older and I guess Im at that stage in my life where I want the American dream. I never really put much thought into it growing up b/c we never had a house nor any expendable income so I just kind of got used to the idea of renting an apartment and getting by as normal and expected. So off I go in search of a house and property to call my own and a cute Southern girl with insurance.
The timing kind of sucks though. I wish I was allowed to hold out at my current place for another month. But Im not so my current schedule is kind of hectic until early August. I am driving back to KY in a couple of days and then flying back out on July 7th and will be hanging out at the Rio until August 3rd. There is some good news though, at least for me anyways. I called one of my friends in hope of some help in getting an apartment set up for me for when I come back into town. Well he called me back and he has just moved out from with his girlfriend so he is going to get us a 3 bedroom in a few days. So Im going to have to pay for a month of rent while I am not there but I dont mind it knowing I will have peace of mind knowing that I wont have to deal with getting a place while I am not in town or worry about my stuff in storage. And while I was kind of looking foward to living alone, it will be easier for me not too worry about finding a dog sitter for my frequent trips out of town. And there will be plenty of alone time when I get a house in approximately six months.
As far as poker goes, I couldn’t be much happier. It really helps with the stress of moving and whatnot. I would probably be a wreck if I had to deal with everything and was low on the nut. I have just quit for the month on the 27th, with a day or two off, and made 20,003 dollars. The only real difference between this month and the last two were the absence of losing days. I only had six losing days and only three of them where of any significant value (1542, 1312, and 520). The other three were basically break even days (47, 100, and 230). Its amazing how quick it adds up with the absence of the multiple big losses cutting into the profit.
Next month will be 100% live play with a week off so it will be interesting to see how that will effect my earning potential. I will be playing a lot of 30/60 and 40/80, so it will be higher than I regulary play online but with the decreased amount of hands it is hard to play enough hands to have the same winning percentage as far as days go.
