Limit Holdem Wrap-up
Last week I took a break from turbo sit&go’s on pokerstars to play some limit holdem poker. A site I used to prop at was running a 165% rakeback promotion. Props who played between 11am and 6pm would all get 165% rakeback for two days.
I know i’m not good at limit poker. I just can’t get a feel for it for some reason. The first day I finished down $265 after 6 tabling 2/4 and 3/6 for 7 hours, and the next day I lost another $80 after 3 hours of four tabling 2/4 and 3/6.
The games were filled with really good players though. Normally this site would have about 2 micro limit tables running, but during this promo there was 40+ tables at all different stakes going. It was funny to see that as soon as the promo ended for the day, it went right back down to 2-3 low limit tables running. The second day of the promotion they even made us chat in chat box, because the regular players, who weren’t props started suspecting us as being bots.
Overall I ended up losing about $345 after at 9-10 hours of 4-6 tabling. It didn’t bother me much because I knew the rakeback would be pretty big. Not as big as you’d expect, because the tables averaged about 3bb’s per hand, but still really good.
I just got my rakeback stats today and it turns out that although I lost $345 playing, I came out $90 ahead! It could have been a lot better, but it’s still not bad. Here’s my rakeback stats.
