Crazy Pacific Poker

By dbirider, 9. Jun 06.

Although I really hate playing at pacific poker, I decided to make a deposit there today to get in a private tournament.

I didn’t have my password stored anywhere so I had to email them to get it. I tried doing this about two months ago and ended up getting in a two day 15+ email argument with their support team because they wouldn’t send me my own password. This time I got it about 5 minutes after the request, which was a relief.

So I logged onto pacifc poker, scoped out the tables, and made a deposit. I put the rest of my firepay account in, so I can just cash it out to neteller when I’m done at Pacific.

As I’m waiting for my deposit to get in I get an email from customer support saying that they’re not able to send my password because it’s secure and stuff. This is 20 minutes after they sent me my password.

My account still works and the money was deposited, so whatever. Then about 5 minutes later, while not even using the site, I get a pop up in the lobby saying my account has just been credited with $20… wtf? Thanks Pacific Poker!

While I hate Pacific for their software and support, they did get me started with real money poker. About two years ago they credited my unused account with $5, and with the horrible players I was able to cashout $700 two months later to use as my bankroll at stars. I really want to hate them, but they keep giving me free money, so I don’t know…

  1. “…two day 15+ email argument…”

No way. I refuse to believe that you received seven consecutive NON-SPAM e-mails from Pacific within two days, on a single topic.

    Two months, maybe. LOL!!! :-D

  2. lol, I just started getting those emails again since I made that deposit. The 15 emails really did happen, and it was the most retarded experience i’ve ever had with customer support.

I wanted my password and they wouldn’t give it to me unless I confirmed my address. So I sent my address and they reply thanking me, but telling me that i left out my zip code. So I sent them another email with my zip code and they told me they need my full address. And when I sent an email with my address and zip code, they replied telling me it had to be the full address with my country.

The emails just went back and forth and after sending my 7th or 8th one I gave up. It’s funny looking back at it, but it wasn’t at the time!
